OPEN CALL FOR SUBMISSION

Death by TBR Books is now open for submissions for our next anthology:

Twisted Tales to Tell in the Night: A Slasher Horror Anthology.

Stories must be horror and must clearly fit the slasher subgenre. We are not looking for general thrillers, crime stories, mysteries, or revenge stories unless they are first and foremost slasher horror. We are interested in masked killers, final girls, isolated locations, small towns, camps, roadside stops, creepy motels, obsession, survivor stories, local legends, and fresh takes on familiar slasher setups.

This anthology is for adult horror only. Please do not send middle grade, YA, or stories written for a younger audience.

Word count: 500 to 3,000 words
Submission deadline: July 30, 2026
Pay: An eBook and print (if in U.S.) contributor copy

Death by TBR Books does put a lot of care into promoting our authors. Contributors will be featured through our social media platforms, including our Instagram audience of nearly 19K horror readers. When contributors have books available through Ingram, we also do our best to list and promote those titles through our website and social media.

We want stories that are clearly horror, clearly slasher, and not afraid to get bloody.

Please attach your story as a .doc or .docx file. Include your name, pen name if different, story title, and word count in the subject line. In the body of your email please include a short third-person bio and any relevant content warnings in the body of the email. EMAIL SUBMISSION TO: info@deathbytbrbooks.com

If these guidelines are not followed your submission will not be read.
