HISTORY OF DEATH BY TBR BOOKS



Death by TBR Books (formally Books Around the Corner) had always been a dream for owner, Stephanie Rose, but it wasn't until she was unable to find full time work as a librarian that the dream came true. In thirty six days she went from signing a lease for a space she had $0 money to pay for to opening on November 2nd, 2018.

While the bookshop has grown, changed, diversified into what it is today, it started with a thirteen year old girl who watched Kathleen Kelly open her shop on a crisp fall day in You've Got Mail. Almost five years later, five moves, one pandemic, and a lot of tenacity Books Around the Corner has survived. 

Death by TBR Books offers used and new books, hardcovers and paperbacks, a virtual monthly horror book club, monthly book packages, genre book bundles and shipping across the United States and a bookstore cat named Spooky.

Stephanie loves every day she is able to share her love of books with the community and utilize her background as a librarian to be the best bookseller she can be for the community.
